Bag Styles & Body Construction
Panel, tubular, baffle and loop body choices
Choose the body structure that controls bag shape, filling stability, stacking behavior and container loading efficiency.

Open-top FIBC bulk bags are heavy-duty industrial packaging containers designed for high-volume, unrestricted gravity filling and manual or mechanical overhead loading. Unlike spout-top bags that limit material feed rates through a restricted sleeve, the open-top structure exposes the full width of the bag’s geometric footprint.
This configuration is optimized for coarse materials, non-dusting aggregates, irregular solids, and materials fed via high-speed overhead conveyor belts, aggregate hoppers, or heavy-duty crane grab buckets. To maintain structural symmetry and prevent edge-collapsing when empty or under dynamic filling impacts, the upper perimeter of the open top is reinforced with a heavy-gauge welded or multi-stitch hemmed rim (reinforced top border).
Ideal for manufacturing lines utilizing massive overhead silos, front-end wheel loaders, or automated conveyor drops. The absence of a top panel eliminates choke points, accelerating filling cycle times.
For materials that are bulky, fibrous, or chunk-shaped (such as certain crushed mineral ores, timber compounds, or scrap materials), an open top is the only geometry that prevents material jamming during the filling process.
Without filling sleeves to align or clamp, forklift and crane operators can suspend the empty bag directly under the discharge hopper without requiring additional laborers to manually stretch open the bag neck.
Because the design requires fewer manufacturing panels and less structural sewing labor than a spout-top or skirt-top bag, it provides a highly cost-efficient per-unit packaging expense for low-margin bulk materials.

No. For fine powders like flame retardants or lithium battery cathode powders, an open top allows massive dust clouds to form during dropping, causing material loss and factory hazard risks. Fine materials require a closed filling spout combined with sift-proof seams or an internal form-fit liner to prevent product sifting.
While the bag filling is open, we can customize these bags with an integrated top cover flap (tie-down lid) or a drawstring skirt that can be folded inside during loading and tied shut over the material after filling is completed, securing the top against contamination.
Yes, but it requires specialized tabbing. If a standard liner is placed in an open bag without support, the descending weight of the heavy material during loading can drag the liner down to the bottom. We utilize tabbed or glued liners that fix securely to the outer PP bag rim to keep the liner fully extended during open loading.
